Tyler came to know the grace of Jesus at age 16, after hearing the Gospel preached from Luke 15, the story of the Prodigal Son. Since then, Tyler has grown in his understanding of the depth and richness of God’s mercy. As the lead pastor at Center Point Church, he has found joy in shepherding the people through regular teaching from God’s Word, intentional discipleship and mentorship, and through regularly meeting with and praying for our people. Tyler is married to Alicia whom he met during their time at Western Kentucky University. After graduating from WKU, he attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tyler and Alicia have a daughter, Ellie, who is with the Lord, and two boys, Roman and Hunter. If you don’t meet their family at church, there is a good chance you’ll find them at the Taylor Mill Swim Club!
Bill came to know Christ when he was 10 years old. Although, it was not until April 10, 1983 that the Lord revealed to him the need to make Jesus the Lord of His life. Since then, his faith in Jesus and daily walk with Him grows stronger through a love God has given him for His Word. Bill is married to his wife Teresa and they have three children, three in-law/adopted children, and two, soon to be three grandchildren. Bill serves as the associate pastor and an elder here at Center Point. His role includes discipling and mentoring men, meeting with and praying over people, leading a life group with his wife Teresa, and more.
Eric came to know Christ at age 16 after hearing the message of the gospel clearly presented at church. He has learned the importance of putting Christ first in all of things through the discipline of the Word and other believers. Eric is married to Cynthia and they have three children that serve the Lord, two are married and one is engaged. They love being grandparents to their grandson, Sammy. He attended Moody Bible Institute for 2 years studying missions. Eric leads a men’s discipleship group and leads all things technology and media here at Center Point.
LJ has been walking with Christ for many years, having come to faith after seeing his pastor present the gospel in a clear way. Since then, God has grown his faith and love for Him and His Word. LJ is married to Lindsey and they have three children: Chloe, Riley, and Owen. He took classes at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for a year. LJ has lead Bible studies, small groups and even preached occasionally here at Center Point.
Darren came to Christ when he was 8 years old after church one evening. He later came to understand the importance of having a relationship with Christ at a church camp. Throughout his life, the church has been constant in encouraging growth in his relationship with God. Darren serves on the worship team here at Center Point and discipleship group. He is married to Jennifer and they have a son Quinn, and a daughter Kay who is married to Max. Being challenged by his fellow elders has been a blessing for Darren.
Tim came to know Christ at church camp when he was 16 years old. Since he was saved, the Lord has continued to transform him to see the need for grace every day. He serves as a leader and facilitator of a community group here at Center Point. Tim is married to Lori and they have two daughters, Kayla and Jenna. Kayla is engaged to be married in the fall. Jenna is married and has blessed Tim and Lori with their first grandson. They have loved the opportunity to serve the Lord together in a local church through encouraging people and exhorting them to continue their journey of faith.
Director of Family Life
Sydney surrendered her life to Christ at age 17 at YoungLife Camp. Since then, she has learned how constant and steadfast the Lord is no matter what. She has come to understand that the peace from the Lord is unlike anything this world can offer. Sydney is married to Cody and they have two boys, Deacon and Killian, and a little girl. She served as a YoungLife leader for nine years prior to CenterPoint. Sydney serves parents and their children through the overseeing of the Family Ministries here at Center Point. She works with kids and volunteers to create an environment that helps teach young kids the love of Christ through curriculum and activities while also building community with and for the parents.
Church Planter Apprentice
Nick was born into a pastors family. While reading through the gospel of Mark, in the story of the rich young ruler, Nick saw that everything, including salvation, was impossible without Christ. The gospel seeds were planted in his life and he began bearing fruit. Nick is married to his wife, Erika and they have a baby on the way. Nick has his associates degree in theology and he is currently pursuing his bachelors/masters through Boyce College and The Southern Baptist Seminary. He and Erika lead a small group and occasionally he helps with worship team here at Center Point. He is currently being trained to plant a church through Center Point.
